Lemon Drop

1 shot of Kettle One vodka (1 1/2 oz.)
3/4 oz. freshly squeezed lemon juice (maybe 3 lemons)
1/2 oz. Tripple Sec
1 teaspoon superfine sugar
Superfine sugar for dipping
Twisted peel of lemon

Mix the vodka, Tripple Sec, sugar, and lemon juice in
a cocktail shaker half-filled with ice; shake well
(perhaps 40 times) to insure that the surar is well
blended. Stain into sugar-rimmed martini glass.
Garnish with a twisted peel of lemon.

Note: To create a sugar-rimmed glass, rub the edge
of a glass with a lemon wedge so it is barely moist. Dip
the edge of the glass into sugar.

Oprah's Variation: double the vodka and get rid of the
Tripple Sec, use 2 tablespoons of sugar and add 3 fresh
mint leaves instead of lemon peel.
